Religious INTEGRATION

INSIGHT: Self-understanding. The flexibility to see and understand clearly the inside nature of things. The extent to which an individual understands his actual motives, conflicts and protection mechanisms. INSIGHT is hampered by DEFENSIVENESS. For example, Henry had been extraordinarily “nervous” for some time. Finally he agreed to see a PSYCHOLOGIST. He was inspired to talk out his problems. Henry did not see the value of it however he did as he was asked. As he unburdened his coronary heart, his DEFENSIVENESS melted away. He started to see himself realistically. The fog started to carry and options to his problems appeared. Upon acquiring a broker’s license, a Toronto realtor might proceed to work for another broker in a similar capacity as before (sometimes called a broker associate or associate broker) or take charge of his/her own brokerage and rent different salespersons (or broker) licensees. As he achieved INSIGHT his “nervousness” started to disappear.
INTEGRATION: Oneness, the group of various traits or tendencies into one harmonious personality. The absence of CONFLICT. Three levels could also be outlined:
(1) Personal INTEGRATION: concord within the personality.
(2) Social INTEGRATION: a generally harmonious relationship
with different people.
(three) Spiritual INTEGRATION: peace with God. Often one variety
of INTEGRATION is sacrificed to acquire another. Lack of
INTEGRATION results in MALADJUSTMENT. Jesus, as Per
fect Man, was built-in on all levels (Luke 2:52).
INTELLECTUALIZATION: An ego protection mechanism. An individual avoids the emotionally disturbing facets of something by trying to treat it in a detached, “objective” way. The person is often unaware that he’s doing this. It is a favorite protection amongst educated folks or those who wish to take into account themselves educated. By means of INTELLECTUALIZATION a deeply disturbed person might typically deceive even a educated counselor (in addition to himself) into believing that he “has no problems.”
INTELLIGENCE: An individual’s potential ability to regulate to life. Three facets of common INTELLIGENCE are sometimes outlined: (1) Abstract (symbolic): ability to deal with phrases, symbols and concepts.
(2) Mechanical (motor): ability to deal with bodily objects,
develop bodily skills.
(three) Social (interpersonal): ability to deal with folks, to
influence and understand them.
The accepted measure of INTELLIGENCE is the I.Q. (INTELLI-GENCE quotient). An I.Q. between 90 and one hundred ten could also be con-sidered “average” (See MENTAL AGE).
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Relationships between people. (See INTEGRATION and MALADJUSTMENT.)
INTROVERSION: Turning one’s interests inward. Preoccupation with self. Lessening of interest within the outer world. INTROVERTS are individuals who show INTROVERSION to an extreme degree. They tend to be shy, inflexible, flighty, pessimistic and introspective. They’re the opposite of EXTROVERTS. Thus, it may very well be considered to be within the Realtor Toronto greatest interest to advise his consumer to purchase the property at a better price. Most people are at neither extreme.
INVOLUTIONAL PSYCHOSIS: A critical mental illness which occurs in the course of the climacteric (menopause) interval of life (40-55 years), often because of overconcern about declining sexual and bodily vigor. It could take the form of DEPRESSION. It tends to last a protracted time. Signs embody guilt, ANXIETY, DELUSIONS, insomnia and extreme concern over bodily condition.
MALADJUSTMENT: The shortcoming of an individual to adapt himself to the situations of his environment. Disharmony or lack of INTEGRATION. Three levels could also be denned: (1) private (psychological), (2) social (inter-private) and (three) religious (between the person and God). MALADJUSTMENT at one stage is often reflected at the different levels. See INTEGRATION.
